State Road 46

One man was killed in a multi-car crash in Owen County Monday night that closed State Road 46 for three hours.

Owen County Sheriff’s Office officials said 60-year-old Gary Staggs died after side-swiping a vehicle traveling toward his car. He then hit two other vehicles.

The Vigo County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of a one car accident just after 10:30 p.m. on Friday.

Officials report a 1999 Gold Mazda 4 Door ran off the road and struck the tree line on State Road 46 near Lama Road.
