Driver charged with DUI after crashing into trooper's patrol car

A Fultondale man has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle into a state trooper's patrol car.

Suspected DUI driver crashed into State Trooper's car

Troopers say Parrish is suspected of driving a vehicle on Interstate 65 in Fultondale in a construction zone, when the car crashed into a State Trooper patrol car.

At aout 1:45 a.m., two state troopers were directing traffic through the U.S. 31 construction zone near Interstate 65 when a vehicle crashed into one of their patrol cars. No one suffered serious injuries. The driver of the car, Jon E. Parrish, was arrested on a DUI charge and was taken to Jefferson County Jail Tuesday with bond set at $5,000.
