Pilot died in a small plane crash at the Warrenton Fauquier Airport in Fauquier County, Virginia

As the plane was descending it collided with several trees about 3 quarters of a mile southeast of the airport near Midland and Ebenezer Church Road. The collision caused the plane to catch fire and crash into a field just before 4 p.m. The pilot was the sole occupant and casualty of the crash.
