Paul Tarr was riding a motorcycle estbound on River Road when he lost control of his motorcycle and it went off the road way, struck an embankment, and crashed. He was taken to Houlton Regional Hospital by ambulance and is expected to be transfered to a hospital in Bangor.

Borough councilman Jerome Koch is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on Saturday afternoon on River Road near Elm Place when he swerved into the road and was struck. Koch was airlifted to the trauma unit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.
