Grace Yu, 54, Myung Ae Yang, 69, Mikyong Hong, 62, and Yong ok Argilla, 60, killed in two-vehicle car wreck on State Route 120 in Tuolumne County, California

TUOLUMNE COUNTY (CBS13) — Fiver people died in an accident in Tuolumne County on Saturday. A fourth passenger was flown to Doctors in Modesto with major injuries The driver of the Nissan, a 22-year-old man from Merced, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes and three passengers were all pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Merced, was flown to Memorial Hospital with major injuries. The CHP has reported one of the cars crossed of the median, but has not specified which one.

A 50-year-old Saratoga woman was one of the survivors in a head-on collision Saturday evening on a highway leading to Yosemite, authorities said.

"Due to the fact that both drivers died," Norton said, "those results won't come back until autopsies are done." His passenger, Sasha Magana, also 22 and from Merced, suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto. The CHP said Jeongsoo Yang, a Saratoga resident in her 50s, was the only passenger in the westbound Mercedes who survived the accident. The driver of the eastbound Nissan, 22-year-old Marcos Lopez Martinez, of Merced, also died at the scene. Four others in the car, which was registered in San Jose, died at the scene.

Ong described her mother's injuries as "horrific," including several broken bones, damage to the spine and stomach injuries that needed immediate surgery. The California Highway Patrol has not identified the victims. Ong said her mother and church friends were on a "brief trip;" the women were traveling east on 120, about 25 miles west of Yosemite National Park. Jeongsoo Yang was traveling with four other women, apparently all members of the same South Bay Bible study group, when the head-on collision occurred, according to her daughter, Grace Ong. Ong, who lives on the East Coast, did not know the names of her mother's friends who died in the crash.
