Bonny Eagle student dies in Buxton crash

BUXTON — Bonny Eagle High School confirms that a student was killed in a crash overnight on Turkey Lane in Buxton. The school confirms that at least two of those injured are also students at Bonny Eagle. In a statement from Bonny Eagle, the school says a "crisis team has been engaged to support all staff and students during this difficult time." Buxton police say the accident happened about 1:30 a.m. Police say three people were transported to a local hospital with "significant injuries."

Celebration of life Wednesday for teen killed in Buxton crash

A celebration of life service for Angel Greene, 16, who was killed in a crash last week in Buxton will be held on Wednesday. According to the police report, excessive speed was a factor in the crash. Autumn Potter, 16, and Zakary Pacillo, 19, were the other two passengers in the car, the police report said. The service will be held at Bonny Eagle High School from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. The police report, obtained by WMTW News 8 on Tuesday, said Edward Estey, 17, was the driver of the car.

Road where Bonny Eagle student was killed notorious for speeding

Greene, 16, was ejected from a white SUV when it left the road just after 1:30 a.m., striking a tree and a utility pole before rolling over and landing on its roof in a patch of grass. Greene’s body was found about 20 yards away. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
