Federal authorities have detained a man who they say admitted to driving a car into a disputed Ten Commandments monument outside the Oklahoma Capitol building, smashing it to pieces.

A man who has reportedly admitted to driving a car into the controversial Ten Commandments monument outisde the Oklahoma Capitol building has been detained by Federal authorities. He claims that Satan told him to destroy the monument. The man was detained after he turned up at a federal building in Oklahoma City, rambling and saying inflammatory things about the president. The monument was donated in 2012 by Rep. Mike Ritze, and The American Civil Liberties Union of Oklahoma has been suing to have it removed on the basis that it violates the state Constitution’s prohibition against use of public property to support “any sect, church, denomination or system of religion.”
