The 2006 Chevrolet Aveo was headed north when it drifted off the highway, crossed the median and rolled across both southbound lanes, according to Washington State Patrol.
Matthew J. Miller, 30, died of blunt head injury, a news release from the medical examiner said. Miller was walking across Third Avenue talking on his cellphone after his car was hit by a van.

Genaro Lopez Corona, 28, of George and Salvador Zepeda, 21, of Quincy were declared dead at the scene of the collision, which happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 1 Northwest.
Preston Maher, 16, is now under investigation for vehicular homicide. Josie Freier, 15, and McKenzie Mott, 16, died in the accident at South Bates Road and East Ponderosa Drive in Spokane Valley.
