  • State Highway 99 / Grand Parkway is Houston's outer beltway, and will be the longest beltway in the U.S. once it is complete. It is composed of 11 segments, 3 of which are completed.

A 64-year-old man was walking at 8700 Cullen when he was hit by a blue Volkswagen Beetle. The man died at the scene. Police officers saw the Beetle speed away and were able to stop and detain the driver.

At about 5:46am, a pickup truck containing Ragle as the driver and Giles as a passenger was traveling east on Stewart Road when Ragle lost control and the pickup truck turned sideways and began to skid.
